Drums first. Everything else costs you.

Name the song one instrument at a time.

Five songs, four layers each. The fewer you switch on before you guess, the more each track is worth.

01

Listen to the drums

Every song opens with its beat alone. Press play and see whether the groove gives it away.

02

Add the band, if you have to

Bring in the bass, then the instruments, then the vocals. Each one costs 2,000 points and replays the clip.

03

Type the title

Pick the song from the search list. Wrong guesses cost 500 and the music keeps going.

04

Finish the run

Five songs from Easy to Brutal earn a rank out of 50,000. Share the line-up and play again.

A few things to know

What is Bandle Unlimited?

A free online song quiz where every round opens with the drums alone. You can bring in the bass, then the other instruments, then the vocals, one at a time, and type the title whenever you are ready. A run is five songs from Easy to Brutal, worth up to 50,000 points, and a fresh run is one click away with no daily limit.

How does the scoring work?

A song named on drums alone is worth 10,000. Adding the bass drops that to 8,000, adding the instruments to 6,000, and adding the vocals to 4,000. Each wrong guess takes another 500 off, with no floor other than zero. Skipping scores nothing. Your correct guess is never charged for itself, only for the misses that came before it.

Are these the real studio stems?

No. We only have the 30-second preview of each track, so the four layers are estimated in your browser from that preview: the drums are picked out as sharp transients, the bass is the low end, the vocals come from the centre of the stereo image, and the instruments are what remains. Expect some bleed between lanes. It is an estimate, not a set of isolated studio tracks, which is exactly what makes drums-only guesses a fun challenge.

Why does the game pause for a moment before each song?

That is the separation step. The preview is decoded, trimmed to about 13.6 seconds, and split into its four layers on your device. Nothing is uploaded anywhere. On most laptops and phones this takes well under two seconds, and the next song in your run is prepared in the background while you play.

Can I remove a layer once I have added it?

No. Layers are added in a fixed order and stay on for the rest of that song, so the value only goes down. Every time you add one the clip replays from the beginning with the new layer mixed in. You can drag across the lanes or use the arrow keys to jump to any point in the clip.

Which songs can come up, and can I change them?

The pool is a few thousand widely streamed tracks from 1980 to today. Run options lets you narrow it by genre, by up to 60 artists, or by a span of years, and you can switch between hits only and the full pool or keep explicit tracks out. Search results during a round are drawn from the same filtered pool. You need at least five matching songs to start.

Does my score save anywhere?

Your best score and your run options stay in this browser only. There is no account and no leaderboard. Reloading the page returns you to the start screen, so finish the five songs before you leave.

Is this the official Bandle?

No. Bandle Unlimited is an independent, fan-made remake inspired by the daily Bandle, built so you can keep playing once the daily puzzle is done. We are not affiliated with or endorsed by the makers of the original. Audio comes from official 30-second previews and never leaves your browser once it has been split into layers.
